Institute for Financial Literacy Announces National Standards in Adult Financial Literacy Education
Institute for Financial Literacy Announces National Standards in Adult Financial Literacy Education
(PRWEB) December 23, 2004
The National Standards for Adult Financial Literacy Education identify the knowledge base and skills that an adult should possess in the area of personal finance. The Institute for Financial Literacy contends that all adults who receive financial literacy education should have, at a minimum, the knowledge and ability to competently perform the basic tasks of managing their personal finances. The five standards cover: money management, credit, debt management, investors education and insurance.
ÂThe Institute is pleased to publish these much needed standards, said Leslie E. Linfield, Esq., Executive Director of the Institute for Financial Literacy. ÂThey become an effective tool for all those who develop educational materials and curriculum in the area of personal finance.Â
The mission of the Institute for Financial Literacy is to make effective financial literacy education available to all American adults. The Institute accomplishes its mission by developing high quality, user friendly financial literacy education programs, partnering with other non-profit and educational organizations to integrate these programs into their stream of services, and setting national standards in adult financial literacy education.

Hey, just looking around some blogs, seems a pretty nice platform you are using. I’m currently using WordPress for a few of my sites but looking to change one of them over to a platform similar to yours as a trial run. Anything in particular you would recommend about it?
