GG+A is pleased to announce an addition to its consulting team: Laura Wood Cantopher, Vice President, GG+A Europe. Cantopher will provide leadership, expertise in fundraising and major gifts programs, and strategic insights for the firm’s clients, offering a comprehensive range of philanthropic management consulting services.
Laura Wood Cantopher joins the firm with more than 25 years of experience in business development and marketing in the not-for-profit and private sectors, with experience in fundraising and campaign management.
Prior to joining GG+A, Cantopher was Head of Campaign Management with King’s College London. There, she planned and executed the November 2010 global launch of the World questions | King’s answers fundraising campaign with a goal of £500 million. She also was also responsible for the tracking and reporting of gifts, including major and principal gifts, and for articulating campaign priorities to engage a wide variety of constituencies.
Prior to her role with King’s College London, Cantopher served in a variety of fundraising and management roles with Royal Holloway, University of London, most recently as Interim Head of External Relations. Previously, she was Interim Executive Director, Alumnae Association with Wellesley College, where she continues to serve in a volunteer capacity as a Class Annual Giving Representative and member of the Alumni Association Board. She has also served Wellesley College as Co-Chair, Special Gifts Committee for her Class 25th reunion, and as a member of the Special Gifts Committee for her Class 20th reunion.
Laura began her career in institutional advancement after holding roles in senior management, marketing, and editorial services with Holt, Rinehart & Winston; Scholastic, Inc.; and Houghton Mifflin. She has a bachelor’s degree in English from Wellesley College and a master’s of business administration from Harvard Business School.
