Salt Lake City, Utah (PRWEB) January 04, 2012

Broadview Entertainment Arts University, or BEAU, announced today that it will offer a bachelor of fine arts (BFA) in Comic and Sequential Art at the new arts and production school. The BFA in Comic and Sequential Art prepares the artistic person to create such products as comic books, graphic novels, cartoons, storyboards and animated feature films.

According to BEAU’s Dean of Programs Mitch Hare, “This program is built for people who are passionate about telling stories that often begin as paper-napkin doodles, move to freehand sketches and finish with creative products that connect emotionally with audiences.” Students learn how to express ideas through story sequences such as graphic novels, comic books and storyboarding, practice freehand sketching, learn figure drawing principles to create human figures, and use perspective to draw realistic environments, buildings and machinery. Included in the program are classes in scripting and screenwriting, which completes the program as a fully-developed storytelling discipline.

Comic and Sequential Art is part of a group of entertainment and production programs offered at Broadview Entertainment Arts University. According to Hare, “BEAU offers the imaginative student a culture of creativity, where they immerse themselves in a collaborative environment and learn from instructors with proven track records in the industry.”

Classes in comic and sequential art at Broadview Entertainment Arts University are currently under way, and the school is accepting student applications for winter quarter. Call 801.288.2787 or visit beau.broadviewuniversity.edu.
